PRESS OF THE 3RD MIND
In
1985 Mr. Lastname started the Press of the 3rd Mind.
"I began the
Press of the 3rd Mind with a thirty page diary of
the brief presidency of William Henry Harrison. Imagine my
surprise when the review it got in the Fessenden Review (now known as
The Review
of Arts, Literature, Philosophy and the Humanities..RALPH) was longer than the book itself!!"
Some
of the other poets whom the Press of the 3rd Mind has published
include Thomas Vaultonburg (Conclave Buddha), Buffalo's Rober
Pomerhn and Colorado's Patrick Porter.
LETTERHEAD
In
2007, Mr. Lastname (along with Brian McMahon and Eric Johnt)
co-edited a literary annual called LETTERHEAD. The first volume,
published by Highest Hurdle Press, is dedicated to the memory of
the late Harvey Goldner from Seattle, Washington, and includes
35 pages of
Goldner's collages, writings, epigrams, and correspondence.
Other
Poets in the anthology include Mark Sonnenfeld, Joe Verrilli,
Christopher Robin, Mark Pawlak, Charles P. Ries and Buffalo-area
poets like Matt Zelasko and D.S. Ephland. The volume also
includes some stunning visual poetry by the co-editors.
Joey
Madia, of New Mystics Review, writes,
"This
is some of the best “vispo” I have seen come out of the small
and independent press and it is a joy to have it all collected
in one place."
The
second volume of LETTERHEAD will be released in Winter 2008.
